Hi.
It would be very helpful, if PCA could also display the
„requested revision“ of a patch.
$ pca -l 113280-07
Using /var/tmp/patchdiag.xref from Dec/02/08
Host: sys05 (SunOS 5.9/Generic_122300-17/sparc/sun4u)
List: 113280-07 (1/189)
Patch IR CR RSB Age Synopsis
------ -- - -- --- --- ------------------------------
113280 08 < 09 R-- 189 SunOS 5.9: cpio patch
Here we can easily see that I have 113280-08 installed
and that 113280-09 is the current revision. But it would
also be nice, if the „requested revision“ („RR“) would
be displayed in the patch line. This would allow to more
easily check if a patch needs to be installed or not.
In the example given above, I would actually not install
the patch, because some document (infodoc 72099 in this
case) requests that at least rev. 07 of 113280 needs to
be installed. And that requirement is met, when 08 is
installed and thus I do not need to take any action at
all (as far as that patch is concerned).
Cheers,
Michael
