<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Platons Verhältnis zum Meer ist so komplex und vielschichtig wie seine eigenen Schriften. In den Dialogen gelingt es Platon, das Meer so darzustellen, wie es wirklich ist, ein Gestaltwandler
wie der Gott Glaukos, und seinen vielfältigen Stimmen Ausdruck zu verleihen: es sind die Stimmen des Urmythos von Atlantis, die Stimmen seiner politischen Utopie, die Stimmen seiner philosophischen Schriftstellerkunst und auch die Stimmen der Schönheit.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">In dieser Polyphonie taucht die Seele Platons auf, in ihrem nostalgischen Drang zum Absoluten. Und das Absolute ist wie das Meer.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
