<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.5pt">Das Cluster Archaeology and Classics (CLAC) der ÖAW veranstaltet in der Zeit 5.-15. Juli 2020 am ÖAI Athen eine Summer School zum Thema „Das andere Griechenland“ für die Dauer von 11 Tagen (inkl. An- und Abreise).
Im Mittelpunkt dieser Veranstaltung stehen die antiken Landschaften Elis, Achaia und Arkadien (Peloponnes), wo traditionell österreichische Forschungsinteressen angesiedelt sind. Es geht darum, die zahlreichen kulturellen, politischen und sozio-ökonomischen
Einheiten in ihrer diachronen Entwicklung von der Bronzezeit bis in die Spätantike paradigmatisch zu erfassen. Vor dem Hintergrund der außergewöhnlichen Entwicklung Athens thematisieren die Teilnehmer der Summer School Unterschiede und Ähnlichkeiten in der
Geschichte und kulturellen Prägung der „anderen“ Landschaften Griechenlands, die den Charakter des sehr facettenreichen politischen wie kulturellen Bilds Griechenlands prägten.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.5pt">Die Ausschreibung richtet sich an sieben motivierte Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen (Doktoranden und PostDoc) aller österreichischen Universitäten aus den Fächern Ur- und Frühgeschichte, Klassische Archäologie,
Architektur (Baugeschichte), Alte Geschichte und Altertumskunde, Epigraphik, Numismatik, Klassische Philologie und Byzantinistik. Voraussetzung sind die aktive Teilnahme, die intensive Vorbereitung und die detaillierte Präsentation eines ausgewählten Themenschwerpunkts.
Dazu gehört auch die Vorbereitung von Unterlagen wie Thesenpapier, Plänen und Literaturliste. Ihre Bewerbung mit Motivationsschreiben, CV und etwaiger Publikationsliste richten Sie bitte bis zum 22.3.2020 an das ÖAI Athen unter der Adresse
