<p class="xxmsonormal">Die Skulpturhalle Basel braucht dringend Ihre Unterstützung. Mit grosser Sorge haben wir erfahren, dass der Basler Regierungsrat im Rahmen eines Sparpakets die Skulpturhalle Basel schliessen und die über 2'200 Gipsabgüsse griechischer
und römischer Kunstwerke in einem Depot magazinieren will. Der Entscheid hat gravierende Folgen. Die Magazinierung der fragilen Abgüsse würde einen einzigartigen Bestand einem nicht zu verantwortenden Risiko aussetzen. Durch die Schliessung würden nicht nur
die archäologische Forschung und Lehre, sondern auch Schulen und Kulturinteressierte einen Ausbildungsort und eine lebendige, innovative Institution von internationalem Rang verlieren.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="xxmsonormal"><span lang="FR" style="font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"">La Skulpturhalle de Bâle, affiliée au Musée des Antiquités (Antikenmuseum Basel), a besoin d’un soutien urgent de votre part . Nous avons été très inquiets d’apprendre que le
Conseil d’Etat bâlois veut fermer la Skulpturhalle Basel dans le cadre d’un programme d’économies et mettre en dépôt les plus de 2200 moulages d’oeuvres d’art grecques et romaines. Cette décision entraîne de lourdes conséquences. L’entreposage des moulages
fragiles exposerait une collection unique à un risque qu’on ne peut assumer. Cette fermeture signifierait aussi une très lourde perte non seulement pour la recherche et l’enseignement archéologiques, mais également pour les écoles et les personnes intéressées
à la culture. La Skulpturhalle est un lieu de formation, ainsi qu’une institution vivante et innovante de renommée internationale.

<p class="xxmsonormal"><span lang="EN-GB">The Skulpturhalle Basel urgently needs your support. It is with great distress that we learned that the Basel Governing Council plans to shut down the Skulpturhalle Basel and transfer the 2,200 gypsum casts of Greek
and Roman art works to a storage depot. This decision has serious consequences. The storage of the fragile casts would put unique holdings at an irresponsible risk. As a result of the closure, not only archaeological research and university teaching, but also
schools and the general audience interested in ancient civilizations would loose a place of education as well as a lively and innovative institution of international repute.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="xxmsonormal"><span lang="IT" style="font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"">La Skulpturhalle Basel (la galleria dei gessi) ha urgente bisogno del vostro sostegno. Con grande preoccupazione abbiamo appreso che il governo cantonale di Basilea, nell’ambito
di un pacchetto di misure di risparmio, ha intenzione di chiudere la Skulpturhalle Basel e di depositare in magazzino l’eccezionale collezione di oltre 2'200 calchi in gesso di opere greche e romane. Questa decisione avrà gravi conseguenze. Vista la loro fragilità,
i calchi saranno esposti a notevoli rischi dovuti all’immagazzinamento. Inoltre, la chiusura della Skulpturhalle priverebbe non solo la ricerca archeologica e l’insegnamento universitario, ma anche le scuole e le persone che si interessano di cultura, di un
luogo di formazione e di un’istituzione innovativa e vivace conosciuta a livello internazionale.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
