<p><span style="font-size:8.0pt">Im Jahr 2003 wurde im <strong>Salzbergwerk von Hallstatt</strong> eine vollständig erhaltene prähistorische Holzstiege entdeckt, die sich als
<strong>älteste Holztreppe Europas</strong> herausstellen sollte. Vor über 3.000 Jahren diente sie den Hallstätter Bergleuten als Hauptverkehrsweg in einer der riesigen Abbaukammern. Ihr weltweit
<strong>einzigartiges Konstruktionsprinzip</strong> gehört zu jenen Spezialentwicklungen und Innovationen, mit denen sich die prähistorischen Hallstätter die Arbeit zu erleichtern verstanden. Damit ist sie ein
<strong>einmaliges Zeugnis der Industrie-, Wirtschafts- und Technikgeschichte</strong>. Hans Reschreiter vom Naturhistorischen Museum gibt Einblicke in die Fundumstände, Gründe für die Bergung und den damit verbundene Arbeitsaufwand, die Dokumentation, Bearbeitung
aber auch neue Erkenntnisse und die nächsten Pläne und Schritte zur Erforschung dieses einzigartigen Fundes.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
