Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Ur- und Frühgeschichte für
das kommende Wintersemester übermitteln, und Sie darum
bitten, die Termine in Ihre Kalender einzutragen!<o:p></o:p></span></p>

Oktober ist außer einer Führung durch die Ausstellung<i>
„gelehrte Objekte“ </i>im Volkskundemuseum und dem <i>ÖGUF-Symposium</i>
(Anmeldefrist 9. bzw. 10. d. M.) insbesondere eine
Buchpräsentation <i>„Archäologie im Waldviertel“</i> (mit
Beiträgen von Franz Pieler und Thomas Einwögerer) sowie ein
<i>„Tag der Offenen Tür“</i> zu nennen, bei dem die
Gelegenheit besteht, die Tätigkeit der Arbeitskreise näher
kennenzulernen.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:EN-US"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span
style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:EN-US">Außerdem
soll an dieser Stelle ein vielfacher Dank an Mathias
Mehofer ausgesprochen werden. Wie bereits in einem Email
angekündigt, ist er in den Vorstand der Österreichischen
Gesellschaft für Ur- und Frühgeschichte gewechselt. </span></b><span
style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:EN-US">Über
viele Jahre lang war er innerhalb der Geschäftsführung unter
anderem für die Organisation der Vorträge und für die
Koordination der Arbeitskreise zuständig. Diese Aufgaben
haben sicherlich viele Nerven und viel Zeit gekostet. <b>Es
sei besonders herausgestellt, dass die Arbeit wohl allzu
oft unsichtbar im Hintergrund durchgeführt wurde</b> (und
das klaglose Funktionieren vieler Dinge – auch z. B. von mir
als AK-Sprecher – unvorsichtigerweise einfach als gegeben
