            März 2013 startet die Vortragsreihe des FSP mit dem
            Rahmenthema <i>Stadt-Land-Geschichten</i>. Seit der
            Entstehung der ersten Hochkulturen wird die Dynamik
            gesellschaftlicher Entwicklung in hohem Maß von Städten
            geprägt. Zugleich lebte bis vor kurzem die große Mehrheit
            der Weltbevölkerung auf dem Land. Erst seit dem Jahr 2007
            wohnt – nach den Schätzungen der UNO – mehr als die Hälfte
            der Menschheit in Städten, mit rasch wachsenden Anteilen in
            Megastädten oder komplexen urbanen Konglomeraten.
            Stadt-Land-Beziehungen bilden deshalb seit vielen
            Jahrtausenden eine zentrale Achse des menschlichen Lebens,
            mit der sich ein breites Spektrum von geistes- und
            sozialwissenschaftlichen Disziplinen beschäftigt.</span><span
style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif""><o:p></o:p></span></p>
        <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:6.0pt"><span
            style="font-family:"Georgia","serif"">In
            Diskursen, Ideologien und künstlerischen Praktiken, aber
            auch in den Wissenschaften dominiert bis heute die
            Gegenüberstellung von Stadt und Land, während die
            vielfältigen Beziehungen des Austauschs, der
            lebensweltlichen Verflechtungen, aber auch der Kombination
            von städtischen und ländlichen Lebensentwürfen und
            Lebensformen weniger Aufmerksamkeit gefunden haben. Gerade
            darauf  lenkt die Vortragsreihe des FSP<i>Wirtschaft und
              Gesellschaft</i> den Blick. Die Beschäftigung mit
            Stadt-Land-Beziehungen erfordert interdisziplinäre und
            globale Perspektiven, weil sie zahlreiche Dimensionen
            bündeln: in wirtschaftlicher Hinsicht Arbeitsteilung und
            Aneignung, in politischer Hinsicht Über- und Unterordnung,
            in sozialer und kultureller Hinsicht die Verschiedenheit von
            Lebensstilen wie auch wechselseitige Zuschreibungen, Bilder
            und Abgrenzungen.</span><span
