Jahrhunderts<o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p>Mitten in der Entwicklung Russlands unter Peter dem Großen zu einem bedeutenden Akteur im europäischen Staatensystem ereignet sich im Jahr 1716 die Flucht des russischen Thronfolgers Aleksej nach Wien. <o:p></o:p></p><p>Die Tagung widmet sich dem Verlauf und den politischen Dimensionen der dadurch ausgelösten Krise, die damals großes Aufsehen erregt hat und deren Konsequenzen für die Integration Russlands in das europäische Staatengefüge bedeutend waren. Dabei stehen besonders die bisher kaum erforschte Dynamik der russisch-österreichischen Beziehungen im Blickpunkt und die Frage nach den Rückwirkungen des Verhältnisses beider Reiche auf den gesamteuropäischen Raum des 18. Jahrhunderts. <o:p></o:p></p><p>Die Tagung führt Historikerinnen und Historiker, Archivarinnen und Archivare sowie Slawistinnen und Slawisten aus Ost- und Westeuropa zusammen. Neben der multidisziplinären Behandlung des Themas präsentieren die Teilnehmer neues Archivmaterial. <o:p></o:p></p><p>In Zusammenarbeit mit den Veranstaltern zeigt das <b>Österreichische Staatsarchiv die Ausstellung „Die Flucht des Thronfolgers Aleksej“</b>, die Ausstellungseröffnung ist am Do. 6.
