lang="DE">Historikerin, eine der Pionierinnen der
Frauengeschichte im deutschsprachigen Raum, war 1978-1995
Professorin für Wirtschafts- und Sozialgeschichte am
Institut für Geschichtswissenschaft der Technischen
Universität Berlin und 1999-2003 Professorin für
interdisziplinäre Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung. Weitere
Schwerpunkte ihrer Arbeit waren die Kolonial- und die
Technikgeschichte. Sie gründete das Zentrum für
Interdisziplinäre Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung (ZIFG)
an der TU Berlin und leitete es von 1996 bis zu ihrer
Emeritierung 2003. Sie war Mitherausgeberin der
Publikationsreihe Geschichte und Geschlechter und von
L’Homme. Zeitschrift für feministische
Geschichtswissenschaft. Die Verleihung des Kuczynski-Preises
erfolgt insbesondere für ihr Buch «Geschlechtergeschichte
